Today is Autism Awareness Day, I want to bring awareness to you about the children living in orphanges and institutions with Autism. This disorder is known as a complex developmental disability, and it presents itself during the first 3 yrs of a person's life. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Autism are both general terms for a group of complex disorders of the brain development. Some of the issues that Autism people have are verbal and nonverbal communication, a wide range of social interactions and activities, and repetitive behaviors. They live in a world of confusion, because they miss out on relevant details that help understand situations. The condition is isolating for the children and the symptoms are hard to understand from the outside.
Now after reading the few details I have listed above concerning this condition. It's already hard to take in that someone with autism has to live with, and now imagen these children below with these symptoms.
and Caesar who does not have a photo listed http://reecesrainbow.org/9928/caesar
These children are all living lifes with Autism in institutions. They are listed on Reeces Rainbow http://reecesrainbow.org/ Denver, Roger, Justine are officially diagnosed with Autism. Cullen, Brody, Sasha, and Casear are not confirmed as having Autism but have been suspected of it. The children above are living lifes of isolation because of their condition. And so heartbreaking and sad to hear that they are being isolated from the world because of Autism. They need a family to call their own where they can grow and reach their full potential outside those institutional walls. There is no cure for Autism but there is treatment and education approches that may reduce some of the challenges associated with the condition. Each individual is unique and many have exceptional abilities in visual, skills, music and academic skills. Others have significant disabilities and are unable to live independently. But all these children are in need of a family they need the love and support.
